From Concept to Carton with Rooibos Limited
Share
The project of these tea cartons with Rooibos Limited is a story of legacy, creativity, and collaboration. I’m excited to share how this project evolved from my father’s initial illustrations to the beautifully crafted cartons now gracing the shelves.
Building on a Legacy
My father’s initial illustrations and conceptual work laid the foundation for our tea packaging designs. After his passing, I felt honoured to carry forward his vision and bring these concepts to life. Collaborating with Rooibos Limited, we aimed to honour his work while infusing it with fresh, contemporary elements.
Designing the Cartons
The design process involved careful consideration and refinement. Each carton was developed to reflect the unique flavours of Rooibos Limited’s tea range while staying true to the vision my father had outlined. We worked closely to ensure that the designs met the desires of the client.
Final Touches
As the designs neared completion, my role included approving the colours on the pass at the printers and checking final details on the proof. This stage was crucial to ensure that every element of the design met our quality standards and remained faithful to the original concept. Attention to detail was key to maintaining the integrity of the vision and ensuring a high-quality end product.
From Idea to Store Shelves
With the designs approved, Rooibos Limited took charge of packaging and distribution. I’m thrilled to see the finished cartons now available at the House of Rooibos store in Clanwilliam. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness the journey from initial concept to the store shelves, completing a full-circle moment from my father’s early sketches to the vibrant packaging now enjoyed by tea lovers.
This project not only honours my father's artistic contributions but also highlights the collaborative spirit of bringing a concept to life. I’m grateful to Rooibos Limited for their partnership and excited to see the positive reception of our work.
